About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Afternoon Dispatch Leader to join our Jandakot site on the day shift 2pm- 10 pm. This is a key role for someone who is organised, service-oriented, safety-focused, and able to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organise and coordinate daily metro runs, ensuring efficient and accurate delivery schedules
- Put together transport plans and liaise with drivers and external providers
- Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately
- Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with stock control
- Monitor delivery timelines and resolve logistics or transport issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures
- Work autonomously while maintaining a strong team-focused approach
Note: This role has no direct reports, but requires leadership through coordination, communication, and ownership of the day logistics function.
Requirements
- Experience in load restraint, logistics, and transport coordination
- Highly organised, safety-focused, and committed to safe work practices
- Able to work autonomously and prioritise effectively
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt when priorities shift
- Service-oriented mindset - customer first
- Forklift licence and truck licensing (advantageous but not necessary)
