Operation of shipping loader to load products into customer trucks. Operation of excavators and dozers in the removal of overburden in preparation for the extraction process. Operation of a dozer or other grading equipment to maintain facility roadways and/or maintain stockpiles. Operate other production and support equipment such as; rock breaker, cranes, drag lines, etc. Safely drives and maneuvers vehicle into position for loading, dumping and spreading material. Assists in stockpiling materials at plant and stockpile area and hauls other material as required. Inspects vehicle’s mechanisms and monitors and maintains fluid levels. Taking full ownership to address and fix problems vs. deflecting blame to others.\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.\nExperience\nHeavy equipment operator experience at an intermediate to experienced level.\nAbility to operator multiple types of equipment within facility.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nComply with all SHE and other company policies, procedures and requirements.\nFollow established traffic patterns avoiding road hazards and other hazardous conditions.\nPerform duties safely, responsibly, and proficiently, observing all safety and health rules.\nPerform other duties as directed by supervisor.\nOther Requirements\nMust be able to work required overtime and flexible work schedule.\nBe willing to work a flexible schedule and customer needs require.\nMust be able to speak, read, and have a working knowledge of the English language.\nWill work outdoors and exposed to varying and/or extreme weather conditions (i.e., heat, wet, cold, etc).\nMay work in high and/or precarious places or cramped work space that requires getting into awkward positions.\nMust be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as, bend and lift 45 pounds.\nSalary. The salary is prescribed by the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
