The role requires close collaboration with supervisors and adherence to facility policies.\nEssential Functions\nCommunicate with Dispatcher/Plant Manager to receive instructions via 2-way radio in truck and telephone in yard.\nVisually and analytically (using PID Meter) inspects incoming loads. Directs customer to proper dumping area.\nPrints tickets, monitors pricing, keeps records and log sales\nConducts litter control/removal, cleans office(s), does landscape maintenance, keeps facility looking clean, orderly and professional.\nShovels, uses water hose, operates support equipment\nCritical Competencies\nCommunication - Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, while actively listening and adapting the message to the audience.\nTeam Player - Works cooperatively and effectively with team members to achieve shared goals, willingly assisting others and fostering a positive and productive team environment.\nSafety Awareness - Ability to recognize, understand, and adhere to safety protocols and procedures in the workplace; proactive in identifying potential hazards, taking steps to mitigate risks, and ensuring that both personal and collective safety are maintained in all tasks and environments.\nPersonal Accountability - Honoring your commitments to yourself and others. Taking full ownership to address and fix problems vs. deflecting blame to others.\nInitiative and Self-Motivation - Ability to take proactive steps, anticipate needs, and act without needing constant direction or supervision; drives to pursue goals, generates ideas, and seeks opportunities for improvement or innovation without waiting for external prompts.\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma/GED or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.\nExperience\n1-2 years experience in the construction/mining industry.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nMust have sufficient level of education to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to products and vehicles.\nMust have excellent driving skills and the ability to maintain satisfactory customer and public relations in performance of duties.\nOther Requirements\nMaintain daily reports as required by Company regulations.\nMay be required to operate forklift, bobcats, manlifts, water truck as needed.\nAssist in maintenance and upkeep of working area, yard, plant and office.\nComply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirements.\nMust be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as, bend and lift up to 45 pounds.\nThe employee is outdoors and exposed to varying and/or extreme weather conditions (i.e., heat, wet, cold, etc)\nMust be able to work required overtime and flexible work schedule.\nHourly Range. The base hourly range for this role is between $23.00 - $30.00 per hour. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package.
