Job Purpose

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at VulcanForms Inc., Devens, MA, your main objective will be to provide hands-on technical support for the Production teams. You will be responsible for supporting engineering project implementation and process improvements. This work includes process development, commissioning and troubleshooting of post process equipment and various forms of data collection. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the components of manufacturing operations and will have a willingness to embrace the company’s health and safety guidelines to achieve the highest standards and a safe work environment.

This shift covers Friday through Sunday and every other Thursday from 6:00am - 6:00pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support theimprovementprojects for product quality byidentifyingmanufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions including scrap reduction.
  • Develop, implement, andmaintainprocesses for manufacturing parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Work with Production Associates to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment, and product design.
  • Use data-driven root cause and corrective action tools to drive solutions.
  • Support product cost reduction projects.
  • Ensure the safety of all associates byidentifyingsafety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns and adhere to the safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • 3+years’ experiencein a hands-on technical role in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and operations.
  • Experience in supporting the implementation of new processes and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Metal Additive Manufacturing.
  • Experience qualifying equipment for medical manufacturing.
  • Hands on machining experience.

VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, VulcanForms provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance; generous paid time off; and a 401(k) plan with company match.

The hourly pay range for this position varies by level; final level and compensation will be determined based on a candidate's experience.

Level 1: $20.84-$28.66

Level 2: $25.31-$34.80

Level 3: $30.87-$42.45
