We foster an inclusive culture where people take ownership, solve meaningful problems, and continuously learn, because we believe diverse perspectives lead to better outcomes.\nJob Purpose\nAs the Supervisor, Machining Operations at VulcanForms in Devens, MA, you are responsible for overseeing the assigned area's daily operations, productivity, and staff. Reporting to Director, Manufacturing Engineering, the successful candidate will help develop the workforce requirements, process task times, and evaluate the performance of the manufacturing production staff. This position is a Monday through Friday, split shift, with some weekend hours when necessary.\nKey Responsibilities\nDirectly supervise and train the manufacturing staff of the assigned area\nLead, coach, and support the team's growth to reach maximum throughput\nConduct daily standup meetings, discussing goals, needs, and solutions\nPrepare daily reports against planned manufacturing targets\nEnsure all machinists, operators have the necessary materials; tools and documents are adequate for an upcoming shift\nIdentify areas of improvement and collaborate with cross-functional teams\nEnforcement of OSHA standards and corrective action\nPerform 5S and Lean projects\nAble to perform some in-process inspections and some QC functions\nBe able to trouble shoot and support machining as needed, as well as train operators to perform basic problem solving\nQualifications\n5+ years of experience in a component (CNC) manufacturing environment.\nExperience leading a team within a CNC manufacturing environment for machining.\nExperience in manufacturing for a regulated industry.\nProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite Software, ERP Systems (EPICOR), Outlook, and others as needed.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in mechanical or equivalent, or work equivalent. \nExcited about taking on new challenges in a fast-paced environment (3D Printing Manufacturing a plus) \nSelf-motivated, hands-on, practical mindset and willing to jump in when needed. \nISO 9001 and AS9100 experience \nVulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
