We are proud to be an outlet for opportunity and for personal growth and success.\n We're looking for a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead and grow our data engineering team while staying close enough to the technical work to guide architecture and unblock the team. You'll own the roadmap and delivery for our data ingestion and pipeline infrastructure - from raw ingestion of heterogeneous sources through staging and curated layers - and be accountable for the people, priorities, and technical direction that make that work possible. You'll partner closely with data modeling, analytics, and product leadership to make sure the team is solving the right problems.\nWhat you'll get to do:\nLead and grow a team of data engineers - hiring, mentoring, career development, and performance management \nSet the technical roadmap and strategy for data ingestion and pipeline architecture, ensuring it aligns with broader data platform goals \nPartner with data modeling, analytics, and product leadership to prioritize the data engineering roadmap based on business needs \nWork closely with the data modeling function to ensure pipeline output aligns with downstream semantic and dimensional models, resolving handoff issues between raw ingestion and curated, analytics-ready data \nOwn team processes and engineering rigor: sprint planning, code review standards, on-call/incident response, and testing practices \nAct as an escalation point for complex technical and architectural decisions across pipeline design, ingestion patterns, and system reliability \nRepresent data engineering in cross-functional planning and leadership discussions, translating technical tradeoffs into business terms \nManage team capacity and workload across active projects, balancing new feature work against technical debt and reliability \nStay hands-on enough with the underlying technology (Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, API/file ingestion patterns) to make credible architecture calls and coach the team through hard problems \n Who you are:\nExperience managing and growing a team of data engineers, including hiring, coaching, and performance management \nStrong hands-on background in data engineering - pipeline design, ingestion patterns, and cloud data warehousing (Azure Data Factory and Snowflake experience preferred) \nExperience setting technical roadmaps and prioritizing across competing initiatives and stakeholders \nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with analytics, product, and business leadership \n8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field, including experience in a formal people-management role \nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience preferred \nPreferred Experience\nExperience scaling a data engineering team through significant growth \nFamiliarity with dbt, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM/Bicep), and broader CI/CD practices \nExperience managing vendor relationships or tooling budgets \nExposure to real-time analytics or streaming technologies \n Our investment in you:\nAt Vuori, we’re proud to offer the following to our employees:\nHealth Insurance \nSavings and Retirement Plan \nEmployee Assistance Program \nGenerous Vuori Discount & Industry Perks \nPaid Time Off \nWellness & Fitness benefits \nThe salary range for this role is $146,100 per year - $206,010 per year.
