This role is crucial in ensuring product completion and meeting quality standards prior to shipping. You will work directly with other production supervisors and the Production Manager. This role directly reports to the Production Manager.\nHow will you make a difference?\nThe Shift Supervisor - Assembly, Tubing and Welding is responsible for overseeing the Assembly, Tubing and Welding departments during their assigned shift. This role ensures coordinated production, safe operations, and adherence to quality and delivery expectations across departments. The supervisor provides leadership during overnight operations, ensures continuity between shifts, and supports daily production objectives through effective communication and problem-solving.\nThis is a salaried position for 3rd shift, operating Sunday-Thursday from 10:00 PM-6:00 AM (adjust as needed).\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n2 years of previous supervisory experience or 3 years of service at L&M.\n18 years of age or older.\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nSupervise Assembly, Tubing and Welding departments and support other departments operations during 3rd shift.\nEnsure production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are met overnight.\nCommunicate issues, delays, or concerns to the Production Manager and incoming shift leadership.\nReview jobs for special instructions and required procedures.\nTrain, evaluate, and motivate personnel; ensure appropriate staffing levels.\nManage attendance, scheduling, discipline, and staffing needs for assigned shift.\nMaintain accurate employee time records and coordinate payroll corrections as needed.\nEnsure compliance with safety procedures and maintain a clean, orderly shop environment.\nCoordinate production activity to support on-time starts and smooth transitions into 1st shift.\nComplete required reports, HIT lists, and other shift documentation.\nMonitor equipment readiness and escalate maintenance needs as appropriate.\nAttend required meetings and training sessions as directed.\nAssist in other production areas as qualified.\nEnsure backup coverage and knowledge transfer during shift transitions.\nPerform work safely and support a culture of continuous improvement.\nPerform related duties as assigned.\nWhat about the physical demands of the job?\nWear proper PPE including earplugs, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, and work-provided uniform (gloves as required).\nLift a minimum of 50 lbs.\nSit or stand for extended periods.\nRead and follow instructions, drawings, and blueprints.\nMaintain safe work conditions at all times.\nYou may be asked to perform duties outside of your primary function, for which appropriate training will be provided if necessary.\nWabtec will only employ those legally authorized to work in the U.S. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon successful completion of a drug screen and fitness-for-duty test, as applicable.\nOur job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $62100-85300 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
