You will also collaborate with supervisors, line leads, quality, safety maintenance and other departments to ensure task completion and meet production targets.\nHow will you make a difference:\nThe EOCC Assembly technician is responsible for performing a variety of assembly and disassembly operations using hand tools, power tools, fixturing and work instructions to ensure components and equipment are accurately rebuilt to specification. This role requires the ability to interpret and follow product prints, technical drawings and detailed assembly documentation. This position operates within a production line environment where each process feeds into or support the next operation. Precision, quality and adherence to safety and process standards are critical to success in this role.\nMonday - Thursday 5:00am - 3:30pm. This position might require flexibility to work overtime on Fridays and Saturdays.\nLocation: KRC 4800 Deramus Ave Kansas City, MO 64120\n4800 Deramus Ave, Kansas City, MO 64120\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nMinimum Qualifications and requirements: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)\nHigh school degree or equivalent preferred\nKnowledge and understanding of the basic use of specialized equipment & hand tools.\nKnowledge of basic mechanics, hand tools, and machine testing procedures \nPreferred: 1+ year of experience performing mechanical jobs, assembly and disassembly.\nOther Qualifications:\nMust have: Be able to identify & understand use of specific hand, pneumatic and, power tools.\nExperience is heavy manufacture is preferred.\n Preferred: Mechanical training and knowledge (votech or previous job experience).\nNice to have: Able to correctly use & read analog & digital measuring devices. Micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc.\nBasic computer skills are a plus but not required\nCommunication and collaboration skills\nProblem solving\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and consistently in English.\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nFollow detailed disassembly and assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.\nDisassembles and assembles components by utilizing hand and power tools.\nCleans and buffs components.\nWash components in solvent and run parts through parts washer.\nBlowout parts to remove solvent and dirt.\nMaintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol.\nMake sure that schedules are running exactly as they are listed.\nOperate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).\nTurn off equipment when not in use.\nAttention to detail in a fast-paced environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nGathering new components for assembly as a separate process.\nAssisting other workstations such as leak test, paint preparation\nMust be willing to cross train\nFollow safety protocols and adhere to all PPE requirements\nPerform other duties as assigned\nWhat about the physical demands of the job?\n(The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The hourly rate for this role is currently $22.50. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
