We offer a wide range of products and services for trains including HVAC units, Doors, Door systems along with an array of aftermarket parts and services.\nHow will you make a difference?\nAs a member of the team at Vapor Stone Rail Systems, you will be responsible for the coordination of activities involved with procuring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts and supplies.\nMust be able to work in cross functional team setting.\nResolve material shortages in a timely manner to meet production schedules.\nReviews requisitions and prepares purchase orders\nMaintains ongoing communication with related departmental personnel to ensure timely and accurate procurement of materials / services\nMaintains computerized procurement records in Oracle, such as items or services purchased, cost, lead time, accounting term, delivery arrangements, comments, etc.\nFollow up with related departments to ensure acceptable material is received and vendors are paid within terms of purchase order,\nHandles invoice referrals.\nExpedites delivery of goods to users.\nTeam player and strong professional inter-personnel skills for effective communication with vendors, clients and related departmental personnel.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nExcellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress. Accuracy and attention to detail.\nUnderstanding of supply chain management concepts (identifying and eliminating redundant costs and non-value-added procedures. etc…)\nMust be able to read, write, speech English. Proficient with the MS Office products and Excel (V-Lock Up and Pivot Table) strong computer skills\nEDUCATION:\nCollege Degree or equivalent work experience preferred\nEXPERIENCE:\nFrom 3 to 5 years of relevant experience preferred\nOrganizational Skills\nComputer Skills required\nTechnical Capacity\nTime Management\nCounting and basic math skills\nCommunication Skills\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nWorking with team or self in our warehouses which includes 2 onsite as well as one off site location.\nWhat about the physical demands of the job?\n Standing, bending, twisting or sitting for 8 hours per day\n Ability to lift 50lbs.\n Wearing PPE including but not limited to hearing protection, hard hat, bump cap cut resistant gloves at various times based on current project.\nSafety glasses & steel/composite toe shoes are required for entirety of shift.\nMust successfully pass initial and random drug screenings.\nMay require step stools or ladders.\nYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.\nOur job titles may span more than one career level.
