Assemblers will use a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools. Assemblers are responsible for working together to improve manufacturing processes and promote a climate of cooperation.\nAssembly may include but is not limited to the following:\nThe sub-assembly of components and full assembly of finished\nThe installation and/or connection of wiring harnesses and associated Electronic components\nThe installation and/or connection of piping and associated plumbing components\nThe set up and completion, of various simple welding operations\nTesting of assembly components for oil and/or air leaks, simple electrical malfunctions and various other simple testing. Repairs to be made when failures are detected\nThe use of standard machine tools including, but not limited to drill press, band saw, lathe, press breaks, laser, pipe bender, spot welder etc., and a variety of hand, electric, and pneumatic tools will be required\nPaint applications will include, but not limited to dry sanding, masking, unmasking, finish paint, stencil, seal and touch up \nMaterial transport may include the use of but not limited to radio-controlled cranes, forklifts and tuggers\nPrying and setting heavy equipment\nWork with all facility employees on improving manufacturing processes through prototyping, fabrication and experimental machining to develop and prove concepts and design and implement necessary fixtures and tooling for manufacturing improvements\nPromote climate of cooperation, leading by example mentoring others in quality, safety, environmental, lean and high-performance work team philosophies\nMinimum Requirements\n4-day (Monday through Thursday), 10-hour shift work week. Shift hours are 5:00AM - 3:30PM (1st shift) and 3:15PM - 1:45AM (2nd Shift ). Must be able to work scheduled shift hours.\nStarting pay rate is $27.61 per hour (up to $28.75/hour after 6-month progression and $29.68/hr at 4 years of service) .\nMust be able to read blueprints, schematics and manufacturing instructions in a sufficient manner to complete the assigned assembly tasks\nMinimum of 1 year of experience using electrical and/or pneumatic hand tools\nMust be 18 years of age or older\nHigh-school diploma or GED or equivalent\nMust be willing to wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs and safety shoes\nMust be willing to work in a tobacco-free environment\nBe willing to take a drug test, physical & submit to a background check as part of the selection process\nBe willing to submit to random drug tests\nLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
