You’ll partner with professionals across multiple departments and work alongside other Operators and Welders. As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing services and support to internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials, processes and products meet or exceed specifications. This position is based at our Jackson, TN location and reports directly to the area Supervisor.\n How will you make a difference?\nAs a CNC Machine Operator, you will follow specified work instructions and/or engineering parts drawings to assemble a wide variety of products. You will be responsible for the quality of your work, and meeting production standards. You will continually look for ways to improve our production processes and make Safety your #1 priority every day.\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nSet stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.\nPosition workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade. \nPushes buttons or depress pedal to activate machine. \nObserve machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. \nMeasures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operation.\nRemoves burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from workpiece with a powered hand tools. \nPerforms minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.\nPerform minor program changes , properly save and check them.\nYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.\n What do we want to know about you?\nDo you have the following required skills and education?\nHigh School Graduate or GED.\n1+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.\nAbility to read and comprehend industrial blueprints.\nMust possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting.\nMust have good listening and communication skills.\nAble to work well with others and to be a good team player.\nWhat about the physical demands of the job?\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
