Projects and tasks will focus on the design, component selection, programming, and documentation for Nordco equipment.\nREPORTING\nControls Engineering Manager\nROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssist in designing, programming, and documentation of Nordco’s electrical components\nUpdate electrical schematics and assembly drawings of varying complexity within the Controls Department\nAssist in conducting bench-top tests for new and existing components\nAssist in the development of technical publications, such as operator and maintenance manuals\nWork closely with the Controls Department to support Production and other manufacturing initiatives\nUtilize basic computer software to develop or maintain spreadsheets, databases, documents, and to communicate with various departments within the organization\nAcquire, plot, and analyze data with the assistance from a mentor\nBuild relationships with people within the organization to help complete tasks\nOther job duties as assigned\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES\nEducation\nPursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent\nGPA of 3.0\nExperience\nFamiliarity with 3D modeling software, Creo preferred\nFamiliarity with Promise-E, AutoCAD Electrical, or other electrical schematic drafting software\nFamiliarity with C++\nTechnical Skills\nBasic knowledge of electrical symbols, schematics, and circuits\nBasic knowledge of object-oriented software design patterns\nGeneral mechanical design skills\nMechanical aptitude to physically work on machinery\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office programs\nBehavioral Attributes\nThe ability to develop and maintain relationships\nThe ability to maintain confidentiality\nExceptional oral and written communication skills\nThe ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of different situations\nA high degree of adaptability and flexibility to operate in a fast-paced work environment\nTRAVEL\nNone\nWORKING CONDITIONS\nWork is primarily light duty and requires the ability to regularly lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk unassisted. Requires the use of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee is required to talk and hear.
