This role requires a licensed Electrician with experience in an Industrial setting, who is versatile and practical, with strong troubleshooting skills.\nReporting to the Facilities Manager, the Plant Electrician will be responsible for addressing any equipment issues to support production activities, inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment as required, support for continuous improvement efforts in the plant.\nResponsibilities:\nRepairs and maintains all equipment and machines within the building to ensure the efficient, safe operation of all machinery with the shortest down-time\nInspects all machinery for defects and potential problems in accordance with preventative maintenance program, repairing and replacing parts as required\nModifies machinery and equipment as needed to support continuous improvement efforts\nRepairs, maintains and installs electrical components, wiring and electrical equipment of all machinery and facilities of the plant\nWorks with other skilled trades in the plant to troubleshoot and repair equipment\nWorks with management and peers to plan repairs and projects\nTroubleshoots equipment issues and carries out necessary repairs\nEnsures all electrical parts, wiring and equipment conform to electrical code requirements and are operating in a safe, efficient manner\nIdentify and report any hazard(s) in the workplace\nPerforms preventative electrical maintenance procedures as required\nConducts electrical tests and maintains maintenance and repair records as required\nComplies with all company rules, policies and regulations\nPractices good housekeeping\nPerforms other duties as may be assigned\nWorks with or assists other maintenance employees with other types of repairs, troubleshooting or removal/install of equipment when needed.\nQualifications & Skills:\nElectrical License issued in Ontario (442A or 309A considered)\nMinimum of 2 years or more experience in an industrial environment\nWilling to be flexible for shift coverage\nExperience using hand and power tools\nAbility to communicate in English (written and oral)\nAble to work independently and also be a team player\nWilling to take challenges and show initiative\nExhibits strong work ethic\n Our job titles may span more than one career level.
