Visit our website to learn more!\nRole Summary / Purpose:\nThe Product Definition Engineering (PDE) team has an exciting engineering opportunity for candidates who are passionate about growing their careers in Computer-Aided Design (CAD). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in product design and drafting using Siemens NX CAD tool, along with a good understanding of ASME Y14.5 standards.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nPerform product design and drafting activities for engine and locomotive components using Siemens NX CAD tool.\n\nDevelop detailed manufacturing drawings in compliance with ASME Y14.5 and ISO standards.\n\nManage and execute Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) within the Teamcenter environment (TCE).\n\nWork independently with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to gather requirements and resolve design-related issues.\n\nContinuously build and expand technical expertise in the engine and locomotive domain.\n\nQualifications/Requirements:\nBachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering with a strong academic record.\n\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in product design and drafting using the Siemens NX (Unigraphics NX) CAD tool.\n\nGood knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with ASME Y14.5 and ISO standards.\n\nExperience in creating and reviewing manufacturing drawings.\n\nGood understanding of manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.\n\nKnowledge of the design and development of internal combustion (IC) engine components.\n\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\n\nAbility to work independently and effectively manage assigned projects and deliverables.\n\nDesired Characteristics:\nStrong interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and leadership abilities.\n\nKnowledge of various manufacturing processes, including casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.\n\nWorking knowledge of Teamcenter/Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools at the user level is preferred.\n\nKnowledge of WAVE-linked geometry and associative design methodologies in NX.\n\nGood understanding of internal combustion (IC) engine systems and components.\n\nKnowledge of GD&T and Tolerance stack-up analysis.\n\nAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.\n\nSelf-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.\n\nUser-level knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and applications.\n\nOur Commitment to Embrace Diversity:\nWabtec is a global company that invests not just in our products, but also our people by embracing diversity and inclusion.
