How will you make a difference?

As Finance Manager to the Finance Controller, you will drive financial excellence through comprehensive treasury management, ensuring optimal cash operations, and maintaining rigorous compliance with SOX, US GAAP, and international reporting standards. The role demands a strategic professional who can provide critical insights into project accounting, revenue recognition, and financial risks while fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement and operational efficiency. This position is essential for supporting executive decision-making, managing complex financial processes, and delivering high-impact financial leadership across the organization.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; or five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, including U.S. GAAP (IFRS knowledge a plus), and experience with ERP and accounting systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Epicor, Power BI).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparations
  • Experience with inventory, cost accounting, and WIP accounting.
  • Energetic, curious, resourceful, highly creative and self-motivated. Able to thrive in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and influence cross functionally
  • Understanding of continuous improvement, lean manufacturing concepts, and production schedules
  • Capable of planning and organizing work and processes; ability to self-direct multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Motivation to provide excellent internal and external customer service
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills with sound professional judgment.
  • Experience working within a publicly traded company or SOX-controlled environment, preferred

What will your typical day look like?

  • Financial reporting support for all areas of financial operations including:
  • Prepare monthly journal entries and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions within the Group companies as well as with Corporate Headquarters to ensure proper ledger reporting.
  • Prepare G/L account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items within 30 days of month-end closing.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting procedures and policies.
  • Assist with fixed asset accounting, capitalization, depreciation, and asset tracking.
  • Develop and maintain standard labor and overhead rates for inventory costing.
  • Prepare weekly business metrics, risks and opportunities reporting, and other management reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting efficiency, and internal controls.
  • Support ERP and finance system initiatives, including continuous process improvements.
  • Business Partner to the Finance Controller:
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities.
  • Assist in managing credit & collection efforts to mitigate credit risk
  • Manage the consolidation of group company month- and year-end financial results.
  • Assist in annual physical inventories
  • Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and support business growth initiatives.
  • Provide Key CAR support and other ad hoc financial analysis as requested.
  • Treasury Management:
    • Manage and reconcile cash against In-House Bank accounts
    • Support cash from operations forecasting and reporting
    • Assist with initiatives focused on maximizing Cash from Operations
  • Compliance work:
    • Support internal and external audit activities.
    • Assist in sales and use tax preparation and other regulatory filings.
    • Assist tax accountants by gathering requested information in a timely manner.
    • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX controls, company accounting policies, and international reporting requirements.
    • Promote best practices across finance processes and internal controls.
  • Project accounting:
    • Support project accounting activities, including revenue recognition and proper presentation of Contract Assets and Contract Liabilities.
    • Support project bid budgets and executive reviews.
    • Partner with project teams to identify financial risks, mitigation plans, and opportunities.
    • Support inventory accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, work-in-process (WIP) accounting.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead, develop, and motivate a small USA finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and business partnership.
    • Establish departmental and individual goals while providing coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
    • Build organizational capability across financial planning and analysis, commercial finance, treasury, and operational finance functions.
    • Mentor and support team members while contributing to a positive, high-performing work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned

The salary rate for this role is currently $91100-129800 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
