Your work will strengthen Wabtec’s IoT and Smart Data product line by improving system reliability, cyber security, and data-driven insights across transit operations\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nDrive operational impact and service improvement by translating on-site system insights into reliable edge and IoT solutions that strengthen IoT and Smart Data services.\nImprove delivery quality and release confidence through strong software engineering, testing expertise, disciplined planning, and close collaboration with development teams.\nAccelerate problem-solving and innovation by proactively identifying blockers, engaging cross-functional stakeholders, and designing scalable, best-practice solutions using critical analysis.\nSupport sustainable growth and efficiency by maintaining high-quality documentation, clean source control, and a continuous-learning mindset that keeps skills aligned with evolving business needs.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nDegree in Computer Science or related field.\nProven work experience as an IoT Engineer\nFamiliarity in using version control systems such as Git, etc. with understanding of branching/merging models in Git.\nExposure to Agile methodology and working with Agile development teams.\nKnowledge and practical experience of cloud services and best practices\nGoLang\nIf you don’t have all the above criteria don’t worry, we would still like to hear from you as we live our values and always put people first and strive to expand what is possible.\nLegal authorisation to work in the United Kingdom is required.
