Working closely with software engineers, cloud engineers, architects, and product stakeholders, you will help deliver technologies that support Wabtec's evolving digital ecosystem.\nHow will you make a difference?\nAs a member of the DATCI organization, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and operating cloud-native applications that support strategic digital initiatives across Wabtec. This position combines full-stack software development with a strong understanding of cloud technologies, enabling you to own solutions from concept through production deployment.\nYou will build modern user experiences, develop scalable backend services, contribute to architectural decisions, and collaborate across global teams to deliver secure and maintainable software. Success in this role requires technical excellence, innovation, ownership, and a passion for continuously improving how technology solves business problems.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience\nStrong proficiency in Go and Python.\nExperience working across the full technology stack, including frontend and backend development.\nStrong proficiency in Go and Python.\nExperience with modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as React or Angular.\nExperience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and distributed applications.\nWorking knowledge of cloud platforms and cloud-native deployment models.\nStrong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.\nExperience working in Agile development environments.\nEffective communication and collaboration skills.\nDemonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering results in challenging environments.\nAdaptable and eager to learn, with the ability to thrive in dynamic settings, quickly acquire new skills, and effectively navigate evolving projects and priorities.\nFluent English. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with microservices architecture\nExperience with GraphQL APIs\nFamiliarity with Java and/or Node.js\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices\nExperience with container platforms and orchestration technologies\nDemonstrated innovation through technical initiatives, side projects, process improvements, or adoption of emerging technologies\nExperience supporting globally distributed teams and products\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including frontend interfaces and backend services\nBuild responsive, accessible user interfaces using React or Angular and modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies\nDevelop scalable backend services and APIs using Go and Python, with occasional development in Java or Node.js\nDesign and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support business applications and integrations\nDeploy, monitor, and operate applications in cloud-native environments\nCollaborate with cloud engineering teams to ensure services meet security, scalability, reliability, and operational requirements\nParticipate in architecture discussions and evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and development approaches\nConduct code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices\nSupport testing, automation, and quality assurance initiatives\nTroubleshoot and resolve issues in distributed systems and production environments\nPartner with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions\nContinuously identify opportunities to improve system performance, developer productivity, and customer experience\nBenefits\nAt Wabtec, people come first.
