Conducts scheduling of orders, ensures accuracy of packaging products, and scans bar codes within the SAP system. Works with other employees and departments to resolve shipping and receiving matters. This position is responsible for using a variety of hand and power tools, fixtures, work instructions to perform a series of operations to correctly disassemble components.\nWho will you be working with?\nYou will be part of our Shipping and Receiving Materials Handling team, collaborating closely with production leaders to ensure the accurate and efficient movement of materials throughout the plant. You will also work with Quality, Inventory control and Manufacturing teams to meet production schedules, resolve Shipping and Receiving issues and support inventory accuracy.\nHow will you make the difference?\nAs a shipping & receiving clerk you will be a key link in our supply chain, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient handling of materials and components for the production/remanufacturing of railroad equipment. You will help us to keep a safe, clean and organized work environment using 5s approach, ensure accurate and timely receiving, storage and delivery of parts and materials. Support the production team by producing materials to the correct locations, collaborating with other departments to resolve inventory and shipping and receiving discrepancies.\nThis is a 1st shift position with standard hours Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. Variations in this schedule will be communicated upon hire.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nMedium level of manual labor.\nFollow detailed instructions, processes, and procedures.\nMaintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol.\nPulls schedules to be ran by production exactly as they are listed.\nOperate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).\nAttention to detail in a fast-paced environment.\nCompletes daily inbound receiving of product and packages.\nAccurately pull, pack and stage customer orders\nUse a computer to process FedEx and UPS small package shipments\nUse a computer to process LTL (pallet shipments). This involves using Oracle and other customer logistics sites.\nUnload incoming shipments from trucks using a pallet jack or forklift.\nUnloading customer material from Crates, pallets and other shipping containers.\nResponsible for input of daily receipts into database.\nOTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE\nMinimum education, job experience, certifications, skills, knowledge, and abilities that incumbent must typically have to perform the essential functions of the job acceptably with or without a reasonable accommodation.\nHigh school degree or equivalent\n1+ years of experience in materials handling, shipping and receiving or warehouse operations within manufacturing- railroad, aerospace or automotive industry experience strongly preferred.\nKnowledge of basic mechanics.\nKnowledge of machine testing procedures. Specialized equipment used in this job\nHand tools\nFork lifts Other skills and qualifications\nBasic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly\nPerform the same task repeatedly.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nAbility to read and interpret shipping and receiving documents, bills and inventory reports.\nStrong attention to details, accuracy and time management skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nOur job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $18.50.\nThe actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
