Who will you be working with?

You will work closely with global and local purchasing teams, suppliers, quality teams, logistics partners, forwarders and operational stakeholders. Acting as the local interface in China, you will support the Rubber, Friction and Powersports businesses and collaborate with global buying sites to ensure reliable sourcing and logistics execution.

This role requires strong cross-functional cooperation to build and maintain a competitive, reliable and high-performing supplier network in China.

How will you make a difference?

As Supply Chain Manager, you will collaborate on and execute the sourcing and logistics strategy in China for Rubber, Friction and Powersports commodities.

You will identify, assess, qualify, negotiate with and contractualize suppliers and business partners. Through effective supplier management and close cooperation with internal stakeholders, you will help ensure supply continuity, commercial competitiveness, quality performance and reliable logistics execution for global buying sites.

The purpose of this role is to develop and manage a competitive and dependable supplier network in China that supports business growth and operational excellence.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics or a related field.
  • Relevant professional experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing, supplier management or supply chain management.
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, qualifying and developing suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of RFQ processes, commercial negotiations, contract management and supplier performance management.
  • Experience with technical commodities such as castings, forgings, machined parts, rubber components or rubber-to-metal products is a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of purchase order management, quality requirements, international logistics, customs and export processes.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in an international and cross-functional environment.
  • Self-driven, well organized and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Fluent English and Chinese language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers and business locations as required.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Collaborate on and execute the sourcing and logistics strategy in China for Rubber, Friction and Powersports commodities.
  • Identify, assess, qualify and contractualize suppliers and business partners.
  • Develop and manage a competitive and reliable supplier network in China.
  • Conduct supplier scouting, market benchmarking and RFQ activities.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and manage supplier contracts.
  • Ensure contractual compliance and monitor supplier performance.
  • Support global buying sites with purchase order management and supplier-related operational topics.
  • Coordinate supplier quality activities in cooperation with internal quality teams.
  • Coordinate logistics activities with suppliers, forwarders and relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that deliveries are made on time, meet the required specifications and comply with customs and export requirements.
  • Act as the local interface between suppliers, purchasing teams, quality teams and daily operations.
  • Identify supply risks and support appropriate measures to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Maintain regular communication and alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
