Visit our website to learn more!\nKey missions of the position:\nTo execute the testing programs of friction products on brake blocks/pads.\nDemonstrate mechanical aptitude.\nKnowledge of basic hand tools, fabrication, documentation & reporting skills.\nSupport R&D engineering with custom test configurations & 7S practices.\nKnowledge of rotating machinery, connecting sensors, power supply & electrical risks (LOTO, HV training).\nProduct Management, Technical Customer Support, Coordination with Cross-Function teams to ensure smooth operations of Factory and resolution of issues within stipulated timeline\nKey Responsibilities:\nTest Planning & Development:\nWorkout the validation plans, test setups & instrumentations as required by test standards & customer specifications.\nExecute the dyno test program, do the required modifications & customize brake test rig.\nDevelop comprehensive test procedures specifying speed profiles, thermal thresholds and mechanical loads.\nInstall, calibrate, and operate instruments & dynamometer systems safely.\nReview raw test data to evaluate efficiency, identify abnormalities, and validate component durability.\nDiagnose mechanical failures, sensor faults & software communication issues within the test cell.\nConfigure sensors, instrumentation, and data logging software to capture torque, power, emissions, and temperatures.\nEnsure all testing protocols align with industry quality standards & environmental emissions regulations.\nUnderstand product and drive lifecycle of product.\nEnsure seamless introduction of new products and lead from Engineering side.\nImplementation of Change Management and drive change management activity.\nDrive Value Analysis and implement Value Engineering alongside improve product reliability.\nCustomer Coordination:\nSupport CFT team during customer inspection along with necessary documentation.\nRepresent Engineering in customer meeting.\nDocumentation & Compliance:\nEnsure accuracy and compliance with all documentation as per company and quality policies.\nSupport audits and regulatory requirements through proper record-keeping.\nCoordination with Cross-Functional Teams:\nCollaborate with production and quality teams to ensure smooth operation of Factory.\nWork with Sourcing and Supplier Quality to implement cost saving and reliability measures.\nSystem & Reporting:\nPrepare regular reports on engineering activities and present to management.\nProcess Improvement:\nIdentify and suggest improvements in the site engineering activities and processes.\nSupport digitalization efforts to enhance operational efficiency.\nOur Commitment to Embrace Diversity:\nWabtec is a global company that invests not just in our products, but also our people by embracing diversity and inclusion.
