We are revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations, and we want someone who is ready to move with us.\nWabtec is firmly committed to continually providing consistently high levels of quality and reliability, competitive products, to meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner, and continually improving the effectiveness of the quality management system.\nPRIMARY PURPOSE\nThis position is responsible for performing maintenance in support of manufacturing facility on a variety of equipment throughout facility including machinery repairs, preventative maintenance, machine relocation, fabrication, welding, electrical repair and installation, plumbing (air, hydraulic, water) with use of a variety of equipment.\nThe schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 9:30am-6:00pm. Variations in this schedule will be communicated upon hire.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nThis position is responsible for ensuring proper equipment upkeep, maintenance, and breakdown trouble shooting to ensure production requirements while also maintaining building needs.\nCoordinates with supervisors and managers on breakdown repair of equipment. Upgrading of existing equipment by obtaining and presenting facts to Director of Operations for final approval.\nPrioritize and schedule for specific equipment repairs.\nCoordinate preventative maintenance program.\nMonitoring hazardous waste for removal\nMaintenance of chemical storage area\nCleaning up chemical spills\nLead Kaisen projects\nAssist department supervisors in reconstructing, moving, and installing new equipment according to plan.\nElectrical issues from 24VDC control to 480VAC 3 ph industrial.\nAddress safety issues, replace burnt lights, check emergency lighting on a routine basis, lock out tag out program, electrical safety, confined space program.\nMaintain and upkeep grounds outside the building, including snow and ice removal as needed.\nPerform facility maintenance including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.\nKeep stock of routine repair parts and shop supplies.\nOther duties as required.\nMinimum Qualifications and requirements: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)\nMust have one of the following certifications:Specialized fabrication\nWelding\nElectrical repair and installation\nPlumbing\nCertificate or Degree in Industrial Maintenance\n\nThree years of previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is required.\nHigh school diploma or equivalent with course work in skilled crafts or trades training.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:\nMust be a hands-on person capable of working in a fast paced environment, while handling multiple projects at one time.\nMust be able to use mechanical tools, electrical test equipment, measuring instruments, and be able to read blueprints.\nMust have own mechanics tools.\n Physical Demands: (The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The hourly rate for this role is $27.50 per hour\nThe actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
