In this role, you will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, drive process adherence, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can affect short-term and some long-term business goals.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nDo you have:\nBachelor’s, MET, EET, or PLET degree or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6-8 years of experience in manufacturing\nAbility to use Manufacturing Lean principles for area rearrangements, NPI, and problem solving.\nOwn Lean transformation inside Building 12 driving toward future state vision\nWillingness to challenge the norm and look for new manufacturing techniques and technologies to improve our products\nProficient skills in Microsoft Office applications\nExperience with CAD software\nAbility to create production drawings from pre-existing models using model dimensions\nCreate new models using pre-existing conditions\nWork hands on with machinery and operators to troubleshoot machine failures, process breakdowns, and quality defect sources on the manufacturing floor\nStrong oral and written communications skills\nStrong interpersonal and leadership skills\nAbility to influence others and lead teams\nAbility to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact\nAbility to multitask across multiple operational initiatives\nStrong and effective problem identification and solution skills\nProven analytical and quality/process improvement skills\nWillingness to take on tough challenges and grow professionally\nAbility to work independently and in a team setting\nStrong change management capabilities\nundefined\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nDevelops, observes, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and processes to reduce costs. \nLead the operational team with a project based continuous improvement mindset, looking for innovative ways to execute production plan\nManage various cost accounts and projects associated with expense reductions. \nReview and analysis of space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. \nConfers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. \nDevelop and execute process improvement strategies that challenge existing operational paradigms\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to redesign workflows and introduce innovative manufacturing techniques\nAbility to shift organizational mindset from traditional to progressive manufacturing approaches\nConfers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. \nEstimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. \nCommunicate with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. \nApplies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements process changes and improvements. \nWho will you be working with?\nWabtec is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services. The salary rate for this role is currently $68900-98200 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
