As our company evolves, we continue to invest in our people and processes to produce outstanding products and services.\nHow will you make a difference?\nAs a member of the Schaefer Equipment group/division, you will be responsible for coordinating daily shipping and receiving activities, reviewing pick sheets and shipping documentation, ensuring orders are prepared and loaded accurately, supporting inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits, coordinating delivery requirements, and maintaining the efficient flow of inbound and outbound materials. This position reports directly to the Shipping Supervisor.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nHS Diploma or GED preferred.\nPrior experience with shipping and receiving.\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nRun pick sheets to determine product availability and accurately process customer orders.\nReview and prepare shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, pick slips, and other shipping documentation to meet customer and scheduling requirements.\nCoordinate shipping priorities, work assignments, routing, and shipping methods to ensure on-time delivery.\nEnsure materials, equipment, and inventory are properly staged and maintained to support customer demand and operational efficiency.\nOversee inbound and outbound shipping activities, including receiving, storing, and loading materials.\nContact Customer Service Representatives, vendors, and suppliers as needed to resolve shipping, delivery, or documentation discrepancies.\nPackage products according to customer specifications and maintain accurate labeling and counts on all shipments.\nUtilize Oracle ERP to locate inventory, process material movements, and maintain inventory accuracy.\nOperate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials safely.\nDetermine truck routing and ensure compliance with legal load limits and transportation requirements.\nPerform dock audits of outgoing freight and conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.\nComplete and submit required shipping and receiving paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nWhat about the physical demands of the job?\nAbility to regularly lift and /or move up to 65 pounds. \nMust be able to work safely in a heavy manufacturing work environment. \nMust be able to wear personal protective equipment (Example: safety glasses, gloves, earplugs and steel-toed boots) \nWalking, climbing, stooping, bending, lifting, and using hand tools \nYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.\nWabtec will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the U.S. for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen and fitness for duty test.\nOur job titles may span more than one career level. The hourly rate for this role is currently $22-24. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
