This role drives solution-level requirements, architecture, interface management, and technology roadmaps while influencing product strategy and engineering best practices. Working independently, the engineer partners with product engineering, commercial, integration, and customer stakeholders to ensure cohesive, scalable, and high-performing solutions that meet customer and business objectives.\nHow will you make a difference?\nLead development of solution architectures that integrate multiple products into a unified customer solution.\nDefine, maintain, and govern solution-level requirements, interfaces, and architecture standards.\nInterpret RFPs, RFIs, and customer requirements to establish technical solution strategies.\nLead cross-functional architecture reviews and technical decision-making activities.\nDrive technical alignment among systems, software, hardware, and product engineering teams.\nEstablish and manage interface definitions between internal and external systems.\nProvide technical leadership for complex integration, interoperability, and performance challenges.\nPartner with integration and validation teams to develop solution-level test strategies and compliance plans.\nLead development of customer compliance matrices and technical proposal content.\nIdentify long-term technology opportunities and contribute to solution roadmap development.\nMentor less-experienced engineers and share systems engineering best practices across the organization.\nSupport field deployments, issue resolution activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical discipline; Master's degree preferred.\nLarge experience in systems engineering, solution architecture, or complex product integration environments.\nDemonstrated expertise translating customer operational needs into solution-level requirements and architectures.\nExperience leading systems engineering activities across multidisciplinary hardware, software, communications, and infrastructure domains.\nAdvanced knowledge of systems integration methodologies, requirements management, verification, and validation.\nExperience with IBM ELM, DOORS, DOORS Next Gen, or similar requirements management platforms.\nStrong understanding of systems architecture principles, interface management, and requirements traceability.\nAbility to evaluate technical, operational, and business risks and recommend mitigation strategies.\nStrong influencing skills with demonstrated success leading technical initiatives across global teams.\nExperience mentoring engineers and promoting engineering best practices.\nRailroad, transportation, industrial automation, or mission-critical systems experience preferred.\nExcellent written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.\nHow will you make a difference?\nLead development of solution architectures that integrate multiple products into a unified customer solution.\nDefine, maintain, and govern solution-level requirements, interfaces, and architecture standards.\nInterpret RFPs, RFIs, and customer requirements to establish technical solution strategies.\nLead cross-functional architecture reviews and technical decision-making activities.\nDrive technical alignment among systems, software, hardware, and product engineering teams.\nEstablish and manage interface definitions between internal and external systems.\nProvide technical leadership for complex integration, interoperability, and performance challenges.\nPartner with integration and validation teams to develop solution-level test strategies and compliance plans.\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nLead development of customer compliance matrices and technical proposal content.\nIdentify long-term technology opportunities and contribute to solution roadmap development.\nMentor less-experienced engineers and share systems engineering best practices across the organization.\nSupport field deployments, issue resolution activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.\nBenefícios:\nNa Wabtec, pessoas estão em primeiro lugar.
