In this role, you’ll help power the global delivery of manufacturing solutions by ensuring our database environments are secure, high-performing, and highly available. You’ll be a key contributor to technical and business teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.\nWe’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings creative problem-solving to the table, and leverages deep technical expertise to support mission-critical systems. If you're passionate about database architecture and enjoy working with cross-functional teams, this is the opportunity for you.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nYou must have:\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience\n10+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise Oracle environments (12c or higher)\nExpertise in Oracle 19c administration and related tools\nProven experience implementing Oracle 19c GRID/RAC architecture on RedHat Enterprise Linux\nProficiency in SSH/KSH/BASH scripting\nAdvanced Data Guard expertise (switchover and debugging)\nExperience with cloud environment technologies, preferably AWS, OCI\nKnowledge of Oracle security best practices and patching methodologies\nStrong understanding of Oracle tuning and operational support best practices\nOperations mindset - understanding, implementation, and operation of ITSM at scale\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nInstall, upgrade, configure, tune, debug, and patch all components of the Oracle 19c technology stack, including Oracle GRID, ASM, Clusterware, and database instances\nInstall, upgrade, configure, tune, and debug all aspects of Oracle DataGuard\nMonitor and tune Cloud databases and components\nMonitor, patch, tune and debug Oracle EBS\nMonitor database performance, space utilization, identify potential problems and ensure database availability\nInstall, upgrade, configure, and patch Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c\nInstall, upgrade, configure, and patch Oracle pluggable database configurations using 19c\nDesigns, implements, and maintains database and database infrastructure security\nProvide evaluation, architecture, and integration skills to support COTS and/or developed products within the Oracle database framework\nImplement architected HA/DR solutions to ensure application availability\nIdentify and develop automation of repetitive processes to minimize errors and maximize service delivery using Linux scripting, SQL, PL/SQL and cron jobs\nInterface and communicate effectively across various support teams and with senior management\nSupport 24/7/365 applications based in local data centers, the cloud (AWS & OCI)\nResearch technology, support business requirements, propose changes, and develop migration and implementation\nManage the general contractor DBA team to ensure they follow standards and meet SLAs\nManage ticketing and incidents in ServiceNow to ensure SLAs are met or exceeded\nOther duties as assigned\nWhat about the physical demands of the job?\nFrequently communicating with others to exchange information\nFrequently remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods\nFrequently repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers\nFrequently assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned\nWork Environment:\nThe employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment\nMinimal travel requirements: most work can be accomplished via conference and video calls, team chats, etc.\nNot eligible for relocation assistance.\nOur job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $104800-149300 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
