This role will also support the enhancement of the entire solution development lifecycle.\nExperience & Qualifications: \nBachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, Information Technology, or another related discipline.\n 7 - 10 years experience in software testing principles, verification, and validation areas.\n Experience in Test Automation technologies and scripting tools like python, JavaScript, C#, etc.\nA strong understanding of general network design principles including TCP/IP and UDP, Class D & EMP message structures and packet analysis (Preferred)\nExperience in working with Databases like MySQL, MongoDB, etc. (Preferred)\nExperience working with requirements management tools such as IBM CLM, Doors Next Gen etc.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven ability to present and articulate ideas in a clear and concise manner to both customers and Wabtec leadership.\nProven ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment.\nSystems design, segment testing and integration testing experience\nBroad railroad experience pertaining to locomotive technologies, operations and operating practices of the railroads, and broad skill areas related to hardware, software as well as communications and infrastructure (Preferred).\nExposure to AI-assisted engineering and testing tools, including generative AI, machine learning-based analytics, and intelligent automation. Demonstrated willingness to adopt emerging AI technologies and apply data-driven approaches to improve test automation, defect analysis, productivity, and engineering workflows. (Preferred)\nResponsibilities: \nAccountable for ensuring testing hardware and software against the system requirements and interface specification requirements\nAttending and participating in Solution level Requirements, individual System Requirements, Operational scenario, and Use Case document reviews.\nApply a System-of-Systems (SoS) mindset when developing test strategies and validating integrated solutions, ensuring interactions, dependencies, and behaviors across multiple systems and subsystems are adequately understood, tested, and verified.\nWork with cross-functional teams to develop Integrated Solutions Test (IST) plans, test procedures, and automation tools used to validate customer solutions.\nDevelop and maintain IST test procedures and test plans based on new software features, enhancements, and defect resolutions.\nPreserve test execution results and reporting for a regression cycle.\nConfiguration management of test procedures and test artifacts.\nTest results reviews, defects logging for any identified failures during execution cycle.\nConduct Peer Reviews for ensuring quality and unified process of test procedures development across the team.\nContribute to estimation process for IST scope for various ongoing or upcoming projects.\nThis role may require occasional domestic and international travel (up to 10%)\nYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.\nRelocation assistance may be provided if eligibility requirements are met.\nWabtec will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the U.S. for this opening. The salary rate for this role is currently $79100-112800 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
