You will be reporting to the Production Supervisor and work under the direction of the Production Lead.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nEXPERIENCE\nPossesses strong mechanical skills \nHands on work assembly and disassembly of mechanical parts. \nSome knowledge working with electronics. \nQUALIFICATIONS\nHigh School Diploma \nStrong mechanical aptitude demonstrated experience with mechanical and pneumatic components. \nAbility to work in conformance with engineering specifications, quality procedures, and lean manufacturing principles. \nAbility to understand work procedures, determine tooling and operation sequence, etc. in order to establish the most efficient manner of utilizing materials and equipment. \nAbility to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals. Able to communicate effectively with coworkers. \nAble to follow instructions, possess basic comprehension and reading skills. \nAble to work independently and as part of a group as a team player. \nHas the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills immediately. \nPositive attitude and high degree of self-discipline and self-motivation are required. \nOver 2 years of manufacturing assembly experience or related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. \nAbility to work safely on all tasks related to the job. \nWhat will your typical day look like?\nMove material to and from workstation by hand, cart, pallet jack, hoist/ crane as required. Maybe required to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds). \nDisassemble (tear-down), clean, according to work instructions, engineering drawings and/or test codes. \nResponsible for processing paperwork pertaining to the disassembly/Assembly and cleaning of pneumatic and hydraulic valves. \nUse of fixtures, press, vice, grinders, wire wheel, pneumatic/hand tools, etc. \nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. \nPerforms other related duties as assigned by management \nAdhere to all safety rules, regulations, practices, procedures, and established company policies. \nMaintain good housekeeping. \nYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.\nPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.\nRequires repeated movements and tasks daily. \nThe employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, stoop, crouch. \nJob requires use of vibrating/impact pneumatic hand tools. \nThe employee may be required to lift or move up to 50 lbs. \nRegular full-time. Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when required. \nWork Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing essential functions of this job.\nWhile performing duties on this job, the employee will be working with dirty, grimy, and rusted parts since most of the customer product received for overhaul mounts under the train. \nThe noise level in certain areas of the shop may be usually loud at some times. \nEmployee will work near moving mechanical and pneumatic parts/equipment. \nThe work will be performed indoors. However, employee is exposed to climate conditions (due to weather) as there is no HVAC within shop area. \nPPE required throughout shop area, at a minimum safety steel toe shoe and eye protection is required within shop area. Within certain areas hearing protection, hand protection, arm protection, respirator, and face shield may be required. \nThe starting hourly rate for this position is $23.00 per hour.
