These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction\nHow will you make a difference?\nAs a key Member of the Wabtec Controls Systems Team, the purpose of the Tester in Charge is to ensure all testing and commissioning activities are carried out safely according to design, on time and budget.\nWhere is the position located?\nFIFO role: This position is required to be based in WA with the requirement to work both locally, interstate and on a FIFO basis as required.\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nPromote and ensure the appropriate standards of health, safety and environmental management are adhered to;\n\nTake overall responsibility for the testing and commissioning of new and altered signalling systems for Signalling projects.\n\nResponsible for production of Signalling Test & Commission documentation, testing methodology and testing charts for approval\n\nPreparation of testing and commissioning plans;\n\nComplete all relevant documentation required for testing and commissioning activities in accordance with client and industry standards;\n\nControl and optimise the allocation of human and physical resources in respect to testing and commissioning activities on the project;\n\nIdentify potential safety, cost, time, quality, procurement and human resources issues and implement corrective actions\n\nCo-operate with quality, safety, and environmental objectives and contribute where appropriate for continual improvement.\n\nManage testing and commissioning of signalling equipment to meet contract specifications, performance and safety parameters.\n\nManage effective utilisation and allocation of project-based testing resources both internal and subcontracted.\n\nLiaise with project management and construction ensuring all site works are completed prior to testing and commissioning;\n\nReport on testing and commissioning activities\n\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nAble to work on a FIFO basis, commencing in the Pilbara region\n\n5 years' experience working as a Functional Tester or Tester in Charge within the Rail Industry\n\nEngineering degree or equivalent, advantageous however not essential\n\nIRSE License.\n\nExperience in Railway Signalling Testing & Commissioning of Projects\n\nStatement of competencies displaying technical experience executing testing and commissioning with major Rail operators.\n\nGood personnel management and communication skills.\n\nPrepared to travel regularly.\n\nWe thank all applicants for their interest; each application will receive a response.\nWe do not accept unsolicited contact from recruitment agencies.\nSuccessful candidates will be required to complete background and criminal history check.\nWhat could you accomplish in a place that puts People First?\nAt Wabtec, it’s not just about a job - it’s about the impact you make.
