We are looking for an individual to join our second shift tubing team. Second shift works 2pm - 10pm with a $1.50/hour shift differential.\nHow will you make a difference?\nAs a member of the Tube Machine Operator team, you will be responsible for the programming, operating, and machining parts for Production. Our tubes are one of the things that make us stand out in the Heat Transfer market. We are looking for individuals of all skill levels. You will report to the Tubing second shift supervisor.\nWhat do we want to know about you?\nHigh School Diploma or GED with 1-year related work experience.\nRegular and reliable attendance.\nBasic math skills required, use of calipers, tape measure, and micrometers essential.\nAbility to pass a pre-employment math test, physical, drug test and background test.\nComputer skills are needed for looking up specs, job orders and clocking in.\nUnderstand how mechanical components work and fit together.\nMust be able to meet the physical criteria of the functional job demands.\nCommunicate effectively, in English, both verbal and written.\nWillingness to learn new tasks.\nManual dexterity based on past experiences.\nAbility to pass a pre-employment written math test.\nWhat will your typical day look like?\nSet-up and operate the tube machine to produce a completed tube.\nAssemble tubes. \nInspect parts. \nPerform light maintenance on the machines.\nAssist in training others on the tube machine.\nFollow all appropriate work instructions.\nSet-up and operate RTTS and aluminum tube machine.\nAssist in other areas of production as needed and qualified.\nPerforms work in a safe manner and follows all safety guidelines and procedure.\nDomestic and international travel required and could include weekend travel depending on the project.\nPerforms related work and other duties as required by supervisor.\nWhat about the physical demands of the job?\nWear correct PPE\nLift up to 50lbs\nStanding on concrete\nHeat conditions in the summer\nWorking with paints, oils, solvents\nYou may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.\nThis role is also eligible for a performance bonus.\nMore information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, is available at mywabtecbenefits.com.\nWabtec will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the U.S. for this opening.
