Bring your technical expertise in cabling, CCTV, and access control, and we will provide the structure to help you succeed.\nBenefits Package: Company Paid!\nMedical, Dental, Prescription & Vision Benefits \nLife, AD&D, and LTD insurance \nPaid Vacation and Holidays \nCompany-Matched 401K and IRA Retirement Savings \nCompany Vehicle/Vehicle allowance\nPhone/Laptop\nKey Responsibilities\nSales and Business Development\nFind and develop new leads through networking, cold outreach, general contractor and end-user relationships, industry events, and referrals.\nBring on new customers and grow revenue from existing accounts by identifying additional work, service agreements, and follow-on projects.\nBuild and manage a sales pipeline that supports the office's revenue targets and keep the CRM current.\nRepresent the company in customer meetings, site walks, bid reviews, and presentations.\nNegotiate contracts, change orders, and pricing within company guidelines.\nEstimating\nReview RFQs, RFPs, drawings, and specifications to understand scope, deliverables, and risks.\nConduct site surveys and walk-throughs to confirm conditions and quantities.\nPrepare complete estimates for copper, fiber, access control, and CCTV projects, including material takeoffs, labor hours, equipment such as lifts, permits, and subcontracted work.\nWork with company estimators on larger or more complex bids and review their work for accuracy.\nIdentify scope gaps, conflicts, and clarifications, and submit RFIs before bid deadlines.\nWrite clear proposals with defined scope, exclusions, and assumptions.\nOperations and Project Delivery\nOversee day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and job assignments across projects.\nMake sure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to code, including NEC, NFPA, IBC, UL 325, and local AHJ requirements.\nRun project kickoffs and hand off sold work to project managers with accurate budgets and scope.\nReview job progress, labor tracking, and job costing weekly, and correct course on projects running over budget.\nManage change orders, punch lists, closeout documentation, and as-builts.\nMaintain safety standards and OSHA compliance across all field work.\nManage vendor and distributor relationships, material purchasing, and subcontractors.\nTeam Leadership\nLead, coach, and develop project managers and field technicians.\nHire, train, and retain qualified staff, and plan staffing to match the office's workload.\nSet clear expectations, review performance, and address issues directly.\nPromote certifications and technical training across the team.\nFinancial Responsibility\nOwn the office P&L, including revenue, gross margin, labor utilization, and overhead.\nBuild and manage the annual budget and sales forecast.\nMonitor billing, unbilled work, and collections to keep cash flow healthy.\nReport office performance to regional and executive leadership.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience\n8+ years in low-voltage, security, or technology integration, with at least 3 years in a management role responsible for both sales and operations.\nA proven record of finding, winning, and growing customer accounts.\nExperience managing a P&L or an office budget, with accountability for revenue and margin.\nExperience leading project managers and field technicians.\nTechnical Knowledge\n Structured cabling (copper): Category 5e/6/6A design, installation, termination, testing, and certification. Familiarity with plenum, riser, and outdoor-rated cable, pathways, and TIA standards.\nFiber optics: Single-mode and multimode, inside and outside plant, splicing, termination, OTDR and power-meter testing, and enclosure and panel design.\n Access control: Door hardware (electric strikes, maglocks, exit devices, REX), controllers and expansion boards, readers, intercoms, gate and barrier-arm operators, and code requirements for egress and life safety.\n Video surveillance (CCTV): IP camera selection and placement, NVRs and VMS platforms, PoE, surge protection, pole and exterior mounting, and license plate recognition.\nNetworking basics: IP addressing, PoE budgets, switches, and working with customer IT and networking teams.\nSkills\nAble to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and RFQs.\nAble to build accurate estimates for material, labor, and equipment independently.\nStrong written and verbal communication, including writing proposals and presenting to customers.\nComfortable with CRM, estimating, and project management software, plus Microsoft Office.\nOrganized and able to balance selling, estimating, and running the office at the same time.\nOther Requirements\nValid driver's license and a clean driving record.\nAble to visit job sites, climb ladders, and work around active construction.\nAble to pass a background check and drug screen.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nBICSI RCDD or Technician certification.\nManufacturer certifications for access control and video platforms (for example Avigilon, Genetec, Lenel, Software House, Axis).\nFiber certifications such as FOA CFOT.\nA state low-voltage, alarm, or electrical contractor license, or the ability to obtain one.\nAn existing network of general contractors, end users, and facility managers in the region.\nExperience with enterprise, multi-site, or national-account customers, including logistics, industrial, healthcare, or government facilities.\nWork Environment and Compensation\nReports to: Director, and Senior Director of the RTOs\nLocation: Based at the Regional Technology Office, with regular travel to customer sites and job sites in the region.\nTravel: About 25-40% local and regional travel. Occasional overnight travel for customer meetings or company events.\nSchedule: Full-time.
