Substation design encompasses distribution, sub-transmission and transmission level voltage classes. Experience with Bentley ProjectWise, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam Revu PDF Editor is required. Experience with STAAD, MathCAD, LPILE, RISA or equivalent engineering software is preferred. Some travel will be required for this role. A professional Engineering License is preferred. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible work schedule (hybrid or remote) is available.\nTypical responsibilities include:\nResponsible for structural design of electrical substation structures and foundations\nPrepare and review calculations following industry standard methods and principles\nProvide technical guidance and direction to junior engineers\nAssist in developing, maintaining and updating engineering standards\nPerform detailed quality reviews of project deliverables\nAttend and/or conduct client and project meetings\nAttend site visits as required\nPromote sales\nReview scope, budget and schedule for project tasks\nAssist with proposals, marketing, project reports and technical presentations\nMaintain excellent client relations\nMaintain a safe working environment\nEducation:\nBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering is required\nSkills/Experience:\n5-10 years of civil/structural experience with high voltage substation design is required\nExperience with Bentley ProjectWise, Microsoft
