The role involves participation in planning, preparation and execution of related engine tests, assessment and documentation of test results and delivery of calibrations. The position is permanent and will be in Vaasa, Finland.\nYour role and responsibilities\nAs Expert, Product Automation you’ll be working as a part of Wärtsilä Marine, Power Supply, R&D and Engineering, Testing & Validation, Product Automation team with diverse expertise.Testing & Validation operates and maintains laboratory engines and test rig platforms, with purpose to test new concepts and technologies and to validate new components and product releases for Wärtsilä engines. Testing & Validation is also responsible of customer engine projects factory acceptance testing.\nRequirements for the position:\nMaintain calibration data in AVL Creta management system. \nManage, execute and support engine control system (UNIC) software testing and related calibration activities on laboratory- and pilot engines. \nWork in close cooperation with cross functional teams contributing to the development, validation, and release of new engine control systems and engines. \nImprove and maintain engine product calibration quality and related processes. \nQualifications/to be able to succeed in the position we expect you to have:\nMSc or BSc in Electrical/Automation/Software Engineering or equivalent education. \nPrevious experience of internal combustion engines control systems.\nGood skills in reporting and detail management, communication and organizing. \nFluency in verbal and written English.
