In this position you have a possibility to work in a successful team with people from many cultural backgrounds.\nWhat you will be doing\nWärtsilä Energy Business is looking for skilled and enthusiastic Mechanical Supervisor / Commissioning Engineer. In this position your main role is to supervise Mechanical installation and / or perform commissioning, performance and handing over activities in power plant projects.\nAs Mechanical Supervisor / Commissioning Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:\n\nSupervise the scope of work and follow material flow at site.\nGuide mechanical subcontractor(s) at site.\nMaintain good customer relations and team spirit at site\nHighlight the economical and cost saving working procedures.\nProactively identify constraints for planned mechanical works and analyse root causes.\nEnsure that mechanical installation schedule, design and instructions are followed.\nPerform start-up and tests of equipment within the scope of the contract.\nEnsure that all test results are documented according to Wärtsilä instructions. \nResolve and record technical problems during the commissioning.\nGuide operation personnel with plant design and functionalities.\nAssist the client with commissioning procedures and testing.\nMaintain good reporting practices.\nSafeguard the compliance with HSSE policies and minimize the risks during installation and / or commissioning\nEnsure quality documentation, as-build drawings and plant required handing over documentation is updated, submitted and signed. \nFollow commissioning plan and performance tests and procedures, ensuring a safe and reliable function of the plant and equipment.\nGuide operation personnel with plant design and functionalities.\nTo be successful in this role, we expect you to have:\nB.Sc or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering \nFamiliar with relevant codes and standards\nUnderstanding of utility generation construction, and commissioning practices\nWorking experience in similar tasks preferred \nGood communication and team building\nWillingness to learn and adapt new technologies \nGood technical background and analytical mind\nGood leadership and organizational skillsMechanical works planning skills\n\nAbility to adjust to a wide range of conditions and cultural environments\nWillingness to work abroad - activities are performed mostly abroad\nGood command of English, both oral and written\nOther languages are seen as an advantage\nThis position offers you an opportunity to use and enlarge your expertise in an international and dynamic environment, working on new build power plant works. Projects, production locations, Wärtsilä offices, customers and suppliers can be found all over the world.
