Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation, and we never compromise them.\nWe are looking for a Engineer, Field Service to be based in Northern Ireland, reporting to our Fareham location.\nWhat you will do:\nIndependently execute Field Service activities such as overhaul, repair and basic trouble shooting.\nBe aware of the local work instructions for overhauling components and ensure they are understood and adhered to.\nEnsure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety obligations.\nLiaise closely with the On-Site Team Leader/Service Coordinator to provide progress status of the assigned work and ensure service deadlines are met.\nLiaise with customers on site handling enquiries and technical queries.\nActively advise and promote available products and solutions to customers.\nEnsure that all timesheets (signed by customer) and expense sheets are submitted weekly.\nSubmit accurate and high-quality service work reports within 48 hours of returning home from assigned jobs.\nTo adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude when requested to assist Company staff with any “ad-hoc” duties that may be required \nCarry out all tasks in such a way as to always ensure maximum (internal and external) satisfaction to the extent that this is within the employee’s control.\nIn addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the post holder must be prepared to undertake such additional duties within their capabilities which may result from changing circumstances, but which may not of necessity, change the general character or level of responsibility of the post.\nTo be successful in this role, it would be great to have the following:\nBSc degree in Engineering and/or proven experience (3years minimum) in a field for service works with installation of mechanical, electric, and auxiliary equipment.\nExperience with work on Wärtsilä's products will be beneficial.\nAwareness and readiness to take up the tasks for mechanical and electrical troubleshooting both on engines, auxiliary systems, and our service products.\nGood understanding of technical instructions, drawings, schematic diagrams (e.g., pneumatic, electric systems).\nReadiness to travel and work in the UK, abroad as well as offshore (foreseen up to 200 days/year).\nVery good English skills - spoken and in written.\nWhy you and us?\nYou are valued - as your true self.
