Want to join the ride?\nWe are looking for a Superintendent Engineer based in Istanbul (Turkey) to lead and execute field service activities for our customers in the energy sectors.\nYou’ll take end-to-end ownership of on-site overhauls, repairs, and troubleshooting, inspire teams to perform at their best, and ensure every engagement is safe, efficient, and memorable for our customers.\nWhat will you be doing\nAsSuperintendent Engineer, your workwill focus on these responsibilities:\nPerform Field Service activities according to the work plan. \nLead teams and projects with proven, hands-on leadership in the field. \nPerform overhauls and repairs on assemblies on site and/or in workshops. \nInteract professionally with customers during work’s execution, ensuring clear communication and alignment. \nProvide internal and external progress status updates on the assigned work. \nCreate accurate and timely Service Work Reports. \nEnsure that all work is executed according to QSHE guidelines and site procedures and policies. \nFollow up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders. \nContinuously seek solutions according to best practices, driving quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness. \nDemonstrate cost awareness and effectiveness in planning and execution. \nUtilize Deliver Solutions to Customers processes and tools to ensure consistent service delivery. \nTo be successful in this role, we expect you to have:\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering. \nRelevant technical education or qualifications as a combination of education and at least 10 years of experience. \nTechnical experience in marine engineering with strong, practical problem-solving skills. \nProven experience in installation, operation, maintenance, and repair in marine/energy applications. \nProven leadership skills, with experience leading engineers and projects in the field. \nHighly effective technical communication skills, both written and verbal. \nFluent in Turkish and English, both written and verbal. \nProficiency in computer applications and digital reporting tools. \nStrong communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate across functions and cultures. \nCost awareness and effectiveness in planning and time management. \nWillingness and ability to travel up to 80%, often at short notice, and work in varied site conditions. \nCompletion of military service is required. \nAs an ideal candidate you might also have…\nKnowledge and experience of Wärtsilä engines is an advantage, especially SG Gas Engines. \nExperience working with electrical systems is beneficial. \nWhat we offer:\nA front-line role with significant impact on customer satisfaction and asset performance. \nOpportunities to work with advanced engine and power solutions, including gas engine technologies. \nA diverse, international environment with strong safety culture and support for continuous learning. \nIn this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world.
