We are always on the lookout for future-oriented talent - want to join the ride?\nWe are looking for Supplier Development Engineers with a main responsibility in Part Quality Assurance Plans, quality & supplier performance management and supplier auditing. The preferred location for these positions is Vaasa, Helsinki or Turku in Finland, Triestein Italy, Kampen in The Netherlands or other Wärtsilä locations in Europe. We offer a possibility to hybrid work.\nYour role and responsibilities\nAs a Supplier Development Engineer your work will include to identify, develop and execute supplier development actions. This includes monitoring and analysing supplier performance and executing action plans to improve supplier performance. You’ll be working as a part of impactful Supplier Development team and Category teams with diverse expertise.\nIn this role, travel is required to meet with our suppliers. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 40 %, also sometimes on short notice.\nYour work will focus on these responsibilities:\nProactive support for new product introduction and systematic quality assurance activities for components under your responsibility area \nMonitor and analyse supplier performance, and trigger and follow-up action plans at suppliers\n\nTake ownership and action on quality, delivery and cost activities\n\nSupport suppliers with their operational efficiency, product improvement and development initiatives\n\nAssess and follow up on the suppliers' compliance and perform supplier ratings (VMS) and perform regular audits\n\nAct as a point of contact for suppliers with quality, delivery or technical problems\n\nTo be able to succeed in the position, we expect you to have:\nUnderstanding of supply management and quality principles\n\nGood teamworking, coordination, communication and networking skills\n\nProject management knowledge and ability to collaborate cross-functionally\n\nExperience in SAP and reporting tools (PowerBI)\n\nPerformance-focused mindset and accountability for own targets\n\nM.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering or Economics and Business Administration, or qualified equivalent\n\nFluency in English, both verbal and written\n\nManufacturing technology knowledge\n\nContinuous improvement mindset\n\n********************************\nThe primary location for this role is Finland, but this role can also be based in Italy where the annual salary range would be 35 000 EUR - 45 000 EUR in accordance with the salary provisions in the applicable National Collective Labor Agreement for workers in the metalworking and plant installation industry (CCNL Metalmeccanico).\nAt Wärtsilä, we are committed to fair and transparent pay.
