The new R&D Competence Center operates within the already existing infrastructure in Singapore.\nThe new R&D Competence Center in Singapore focuses on the business areas of sensor technology and power electronics, which serve the industry, energy, building, and green mobility sectors.\nWe are looking for someone who enjoys and has experience in Power Electronics.\nScopes and Responsibilities\nDevelop innovative circuit designs for power electronics applications.\nPerform circuit design and simulations. Determine the selection of components to ensure cost, performance and reliability requirements.\nCreate schematics using OrCAD, BOM and PCB designs (understanding the rules and collaborate with PCB design engineer), coupled with mechanical design.\nConduct PCB prototype testing to verify performance.\nTroubleshoot circuits to identify and resolve issues that may arise.\nCollaborate with engineering and product development teams to ensure successful product launches. Collaborate with external R&D institutes and universities to develop innovative power electronics solutions.\nConduct product level testing, troubleshooting, and support in product testing and qualification, including EMC/RFI and product, safety certifications.\nCreate technical documents for design and specifications. Stay up-to-date with advancements in power electronics, materials and industry trends\nRequirements and Qualifications\nMinimum of 3 years' experience in power electronics and PCB design.\nStrong knowledge in analog and digital electronics, control theory, EMC, reliability and thermal engineering. Solid theoretical understanding of power electronic converter principles, multi-level converters, magnetic component designs, and wide bandgap power semiconductor devices.\nFamiliarity with simulation tools like LTSpice, Matlab/Simulink, PLECS, Labview to facilitate effective design and analysis.Demonstrated experience in new technology development and innovation.
