The new R&D Competence Center operates within the already existing infrastructure in Singapore.\nThe new R&D Competence Center in Singapore focuses on the business areas of sensor technology and power electronics, which serve the industry, energy, building, and green mobility sectors.\nWe are looking for someone who enjoys and has experience in the mechanical design of industrial electronic products.\nRoles & Responsibilities\nResponsible for planning, conceptualizing, and creating mechanical designs for electronics and power electronics products.\nCreate and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using Siemens NX.\nCollaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to complete design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).\nWork with vendors and contractors efficiently to ensure timely completion of deliverables.\nConduct thermal simulation and analysis using industrial software for development.\nGenerate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration, including 3D printing.\nDevelop prototype testing processes, and perform testing and verification of new designs.\nPerform detailed documentation to track project development and design process.\nManage BOM creation and maintenance within the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system.\nEnsure the project timeline is met and the project stays within budget.\nQualifications & Competences\nBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or related technical discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.\nSound knowledge of GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)\nExtensive experience using CAD software such as Siemens NX, Creo, or similar.\nFamiliar with state-of-the-art 3D printing technology for prototyping purpose.\nExperience and knowledge of Industrial Design (ID) would be an advantage.\nKnowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) would be an advantage.\nKnowledge and experience with special plastic molding techniques, especially overmolding or ultrasonic welding, would be an advantage.\nAbility to communicate effectively and clearly.\nSelf-motivated and a great team player.\nWhat can we offer:\nExciting and diversified duties and responsibilities await you within a dynamic, international company environment that is experiencing sustainable growth.\nWe provide you with a platform where you can further develop your passion and technical competence and onboard an exciting industry, and market-oriented career.\nWe offer you an attractive, performance-related payment package.
