Whether building bridges, stabilizing shorelines, rehabilitating structures, or providing site engineering and construction solutions for solar, Walbec is your bridge to expertise in construction and engineering.\nWith safety and ethics at the core of everything we do, our experienced professionals are hard at work on commercial and industrial sites throughout the Midwest.\nThe Position \n Under the direction of the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager, the Aggregate Plant Maintenance Supervisor will support the day-to-day maintenance, operational efficiencies, and training for Aggregate Processing Plants. Main duties include maintenance support for equipment breakdowns, routine maintenance planning, preventative and scheduled maintenance program development, production troubleshooting, reliability improvements, and employee training.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nSafety\n· Ensure a safe and ethical work environment.\n· Provide leadership and be a safety role model by displaying, promoting, and enforcing safe work behaviors.\n· Work with the Safety Manager, Aggregate Supervisors, field personnel, and subcontractors to ensure OSHA/MSHA compliance and promote a strong safety culture.\nAggregate Plant Maintenance\n· Develop scheduled and preventative maintenance programs.\n· Perform equipment assessments and maintain accurate asset condition records.\n· Coordinate maintenance events from work order creation through closeout.\n· Support plant breakdowns during production season.\n· Manage maintenance crews during production and scheduled outages.\n· Train personnel on proper maintenance and operation of aggregate equipment.\n· Develop predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.\n· Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions.\n· Assist with capital planning, budgets, ROI evaluations, and spare parts management.\nAggregate Plant Operations\n· Support operations training, scheduling, planning, and work order processes.\n· Troubleshoot production and equipment issues.\n· Support plant optimization, screen media selection, and material processing improvements.\n· Assist with implementation of new technologies and manufacturing initiatives.\nLeadership and Continuous Improvement\n· Lead, coach, and develop maintenance personnel.\n· Standardize maintenance practices across aggregate operations.\n· Monitor KPIs including downtime, PM compliance, and equipment availability.\n· Promote continuous improvement and Equipment360 utilization.\nQualifications\n· 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in aggregate, mining, asphalt, or heavy manufacturing.\n· Previous supervisory experience preferred.\n· Strong knowledge of crushers, screens, conveyors, hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, welding, and fabrication.\n· Basic understanding of motors, VFDs, and electrical controls.\n· Knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulations.\n· Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\n· Proficient with Microsoft Office and CMMS software, preferably HCSS Equipment360.\n· Ability to travel locally and regionally.\n· Valid driver's license.\nPhysical Requirements\n· Work outdoors in all weather conditions.\n· Climb ladders, stairs, and elevated structures.\n· Lift up to 50 pounds.\n· Work around moving machinery, dust, vibration, and noise.\n· Work extended hours during breakdowns or emergency repairs as needed.\nThe Benefits:\nCompetitive compensation aligned with industry standards \nEmployer Paid Medical Plan with HRA contribution (eligibility requirements) \nDental, Vision, and Life Insurance \nFlex Spending Account (FSA) \nEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) \nCompany-paid short and long-term disability coverage \nPaid parental leave \nGenerous PTO and paid holidays \nProfit sharing \nRobust Walbec training and professional development program \nOngoing career growth opportunities \nWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action employer, and it is our practice to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
