Whether building roadways and bridges, stabilizing shorelines, rehabilitating structures, supplying essential construction materials, or providing site engineering and construction solutions for solar projects, Walbec is your bridge to expertise in construction and engineering.\nWith safety and ethics at the core of everything we do, our experienced professionals are hard at work on commercial and industrial sites throughout the Midwest.\nThe Position:\nAssist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities to meet deadlines.\nSupport the Project Management team by assisting with the preparation and submittal of project schedules and progress reports.\nAssist the Project Manager in the requisition of supplies and materials to complete construction projects and communicate to construction managers.\nWork with the Project Manager to help engage weekly with the Area Manager and subcontractors to obtain progress reports.\nAssist in taking action to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites\nAssist in the development of a site safety plan and to ensure all jobs and personnel are focused on working safely and efficiently.\nIdentify and facilitate quality control opportunities.\nBuild rapport and engage with customers and subcontractors.\nPerform field measurements and elevation analysis to assist the Project Manager with estimating.\nPerform other related duties as required and assigned.\nRequirements:\nPursuing a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field\nExperience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks, shift priorities as needed and maintain schedules.\nOrganized with strong attention to detail and effective documentation skills.\nMotivated to work both independently and in a team setting.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nProven leadership skills.\nSuperior written and verbal communication skills.\nEagerness to learn and incorporate feedback.\nValid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.\nWe are an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Affirmative Action employer, and it is our practice to provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants.
