Description:\nProject Manager IISummary:\nThe Project Manager II will be responsible for the development and day-to-day operations of their territory and customer base, which will include independently\nSelf-sufficient in bidding and managing more complex projects\nUnderstands nearly all specifications \nCan general contract most complex private, commercial, or municipal projects\nCultivates relationships with subcontractors and general contractors in their working area\nBids and manages both complex general contractor work and DOT projects\nAble to bid wisely, knows competition (project locations/bid theory understanding) Evaluates projects for quantity over and under runs effectively and efficiently\n\nMentors less-experienced Project Engineers and PMs and may be involved in training\nInvolved in Association meetings and able to promote asphalt industry and Walbec materials and services\nHas good relationships with customers and can use to our advantage such as:o Changing job schedules\no Changing job phasing\no Implementing more efficient methods of doing work\n\nPerforms other related duties as required and assigned\nQualifications: \nBachelor’s degree, vocational training, certification from an accredited organization or combination of schooling and relevant work experience\nMinimum of 5-7 years of project management experience in construction or manufacturing\nValid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record\nExcellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, interpersonal and negotiation skills\nExcellent client management and business literacy skills\nWorking knowledge of DOT guidelines and regulations \nPreferred Skills: \nPrior transportation industry experience and logistics experience\nDevelop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results\nEffectively envision, develop and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues\nManage multiple conflicting priorities\nBe self-directed and motivated\nExcellent verbal and written communication, consulting, conflict management, interpersonal and negotiation
