We partner with clients across a variety of markets to create environments that positively impact communities and support business objectives.\nLocation\nYou will work at the Carlson Design Group office in Peachtree Corners, GA\nResponsibilities\nYour Key Responsibilities\nLead Complex Projects\nAct as the principal point of contact for assigned projects from beginning to end, managing design, production, coordination, schedule, scope, budget, and successful delivery of large or complex projects.\nManage Client & Contract Administration\nServe as the liaison between the client and design team while managing the contract administration process between the design team and contractor.\nCoordinate Design & Construction Documents\nEnsure the scope of work is accurately reflected in construction documents and coordinate designs with internal disciplines, manufacturers, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders.\nOversee Fiscal Performance & Reporting\nTake ownership of project fiscal performance, including budgets, work plans, schedules, staffing needs, and project reporting to senior leadership.\nLead & Develop Project Managers\nManage, mentor, and provide oversight to assigned project managers to ensure project schedules are met, fiscal performance is maintained, client relationships are supported, and scope, construction documents, and multidisciplinary coordination meet expectations.\nQualifications\nTo qualify for this role, you must have\nBachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.\nMinimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible project management experience within the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.\nDemonstrated experience managing large or complex projects from beginning to end.\nExperience overseeing project managers, multidisciplinary teams, budgets, schedules, client relationships, and project deliverables.\nStrong understanding of design contracts, construction contracts, contract administration, project delivery methodologies, and construction document coordination.\nCompetency in AutoCAD and Revit required.\nCompetency in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu required. \nSkills\nProblem-solving and sound decision-making skills\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nUnderstanding of design contracts and construction contracts\nUnderstanding of various project delivery methodologies\nSelf-directed with strong accountability and follow-through\nHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality\nIdeally, you’ll also have\nA Licensed Architect (RA) or Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. \nPMP certification or similar project management credential.\nExperience leading large-scale commercial, industrial, manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, or mission-critical projects.\nProven business development and client management experience.\nWhy Join CDG?\nAt Carlson Design Group, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals on meaningful projects while advancing your career in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
