This role will support clients across the Data Center, Light Industrial, and Commercial sectors as part of our continued business expansion.\nLocation: Atlanta, GA, including some travel. We work from the office Monday through Wednesday, and remote on Thursday and Friday.\nResponsibilities\nYour key responsibilities include:\nActs as the lead structural engineer responsible for: scoping the project, coordinating with other disciplines, obtaining necessary information to execute the work, and preparing conceptual designs, corrections to field issues as well as complete designs\nRequires an experienced, competent individual capable of successfully solving difficult problems that require creative solutions in structural steel, reinforced concrete, reinforced masonry, wood, and light-gage steel designs\nProvide technical design support to the design team including overseeing and assisting with the development of less-experienced engineers\nResponsible for the preparation and review of Contract Documents in compliance with the project program, building design, schedule and budget\nQualifications\nTo qualify for the role, you must have:\nBSCE in Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university\n8+ years related work experience\nLicensed Engineer (at least one state) and NCEES Accredited (preferred)\nStrong computer skills in structural analysis programs, e.g., RAM software suite, ENERCALC, AutoCAD, Revit and competency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam\nValid driver’s license required \nIdeally, you’ll also have:\nData Center experience is a plus\nPrecast, reinforced (tilt-up) concrete design\nSkills and attributes for success:\nStrong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and critical thinking skills \nMastery of the model codes \nExhibits strong written and verbal communication abilities\nWorks independently with self-motivation\nEEO/AA Employer M/F/D/V\nCarlson Design Group is an equal opportunity employer.
