This person will take ownership of our core HR programs end to end - from HRIS and compliance to benefits and employee relations - and be the steady, trusted point of contact for every employee and manager at Walden. You'll bring structure and care to a fast-moving environment, and you'll help make our existing HR foundation more robust and scalable.\nCore Responsibilities:\nServe as the primary point of contact for employee questions and HR-related matters across the company\nOwn and maintain our HRIS (Rippling), ensuring accurate records, clean data hygiene, and well-organized personnel files\nManage benefits administration and serve as the internal partner to our external broker, including employee education and open enrollment\nEnsure ongoing compliance across HR programs - multi-state employment law, required postings, recordkeeping - and support audits as needed\nGuide managers on employee relations best practices, including performance issues, disciplinary matters, and workplace grievances or disputes\nOwn the employee offboarding process end to end\nAct as the liaison between employees needing immigration support and outside legal counsel\nPartner with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure a seamless handoff from recruiting into onboarding\nStrengthen and scale our existing HR operations programs, policies, and processes to support the company's continued growth\nManage relationships with HR vendors and consultants supporting the function\nDirectly manage the HR Coordinator, once hired, to support transactional HR operations volume\nRequired Qualifications:\n5+ years of experience in HR generalist or HR operations roles\nHands-on experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling experience a strong plus\nWorking knowledge of employment law and multi-state HR compliance requirements\nExperience with benefits administration and broker partnerships\nStrong communicator, comfortable connecting with a wide range of people across the company\nHighly organized and self-directed, with sound judgment on when to escalate\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in HR or a related field\nSHRM or HCI certification\nPrior experience in a high-growth startup environment\nInterest or exposure to robotics/hardware companies\nWalden Robotics offers a competitive total compensation program, including salary, annual cash bonus, company equity, company-subsidized insurance programs, 401(k) with company match, flexible PTO, daily lunch, and other benefits.
