Sales Manager

Own mortgage lead conversion & elevate customer success within a growing financial services business.

  • Join an ambitious, collaborative and growing financial business.
  • A newly created, high-impact sales role with pathway to sales leadership
  • Work with consistent inbound demand, not empty pipelines.

About the Company

We are delighted to be partnering with a growing financial services business bringing together accounting, mortgages, financial advice, insurance and property services under one roof.

The business provides clients with connected financial advice and support throughout different stages of their lives. The business is ambitious, customer-led and focused on building scalable services without losing the personal touch that sets them apart.

About the Role

The Sales Manager will own the mortgage side of the business's top-of-funnel sales process and customer success function, ensuring inbound leads are contacted quickly, qualified effectively and supported through the early stages of their mortgage journey. By removing these responsibilities from Mortgage Advisers, the role will allow them to focus on specialist lending advice while every customer receives a timely, consistent and high-quality experience.

Customer success will be an equally important part of the role. The Sales Manager will maintain meaningful contact with customers after onboarding, gather feedback, resolve issues and identify opportunities to provide further support across the company's broader services.

This is a newly created role with the scope to design better processes, build a scalable sales and customer success function and, over time, potentially grow and lead a wider team.

What You'll Do

  • Manage a high volume of inbound mortgage leads each month, responding quickly and consistently to maximise conversion.
  • Build rapport, understand customer needs, pre-qualify opportunities and progress suitable customers through to the appropriate mortgage adviser.
  • Create a proactive customer success journey, providing regular check-ins, gathering feedback and resolving service issues throughout the lending process.
  • Re-engage existing customers and identify opportunities to connect them with Lighthouse's wider accounting, insurance, financial advice and property services.
  • Improve sales processes, customer touchpoints and CRM workflows to increase speed, consistency and visibility across the pipeline.
  • Support referral partner relationships and help build, resource and lead a scalable sales and customer success function as the business grows.

About You

  • Strong Sales Capability: Proven success in a phone-based, high-volume sales environment. Ideally within financial services, SaaS or another service-led industry.
  • Communication & Rapport: Highly articulate, confident on the phone and able to think quickly, handle objections and establish trust with a broad range of customers.
  • Ownership & Initiative: Comfortable taking responsibility for a business-critical function, working autonomously and delivering outcomes without needing to be micromanaged.
  • Process & Detail Orientation:

Methodical and disciplined, with the ability to manage significant lead volume, maintain accurate CRM information and ensure consistent follow-up.

  • Customer & Growth Mindset: Commercially ambitious and willing to challenge existing processes, while genuinely putting the customer at the centre of every decision.

What's in it for you?

This is an opportunity to own one of the most commercially important functions within a fast-growing financial services business.

You'll have the autonomy to improve the sales process, shape the customer experience and build a function that can scale with the company's growth. You will join an ambitious and collaborative team that values initiative, personal development, genuine customer outcomes and people who are willing to challenge the status quo.
