Our mission is to enable a connected trade ecosystem, making 2nd-hand the norm through smart use of technology.\nThe Challenge\nWe’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Buyer Tribe and lead a cross-functional engineering team responsible for redesigning the Home experience and building the next generation of our recommendations platform.\nYou will guide the team through a complex technical and product transformation, including evolving the backend architecture, integrating advanced machine-learning capabilities, and supporting multiple recommendation use cases at scale.\nYou will be responsible for keeping the roadmap healthy and delivery predictable while continuously balancing experimentation, technical quality, scalability, emerging scope, and stakeholder expectations. This includes helping the team handle pragmatic trade-offs between speed and long-term technical sustainability, and creating the clarity, focus, and operating environment needed to deliver high-quality outcomes to ensure the best user experience.\n\nWhat You Will Do\nLead engineering for a topic team to ship high-quality software on predictable schedules\n\nMake sure that the meetings are effective\n\nCoaches people & the organization\n\nProvide vision, sense of purpose, and visibility to teams\n\nImplement process improvements\n\nHave regular one-on-ones with engineers, where you will:\n\nSet expectations, provide regular feedback & keep team members accountable (Conduct performance reviews)\n\nDevelop a strong two-way feedback loop where you share organizational context and build a deep understanding of the engineer and how they work\n\nSupport engineers and help reach a resolution when challenges arise\n\nCraft a fulfilling and engaging work experience through regular career growth and development conversation\n\nIterate and improve our engineering processes and technical culture\n\nParticipate in hiring and onboarding of engineers\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\nYou have experience leading engineering teams (Ideally +2 years)\n\nYou have very strong verbal English communication skills (Spanish is a plus)\n\nYou are comfortable with participatory management/servant leadership\n\nPositive attitude, excellent problem-solving, and critical thinking\n\nQuality-driven, attention to detail, and pragmatic\n\nExcellent communication skills, adaptability, and eagerness to learn\n\nWhat Would Be A Plus\nPrevious exposure to Tribes & Squads.\n\nDo note that all our jobs are Barcelona based.
