We collaborate, we care, we challenge every day to keep the world in motion and transform logistics into zero emissions, carbon-free industry.\nThis position is a one (1) year contract.\nStarting salary is $48,000 - $60,000 based on experience\nJOB PURPOSE:\nTo perform the functions necessary to reconcile all inventory grief, including on-hand overages and shortages, supplier discrepancies, operations return grief, receipt grief, shipment errors, and posting receipts. Maintains cooperative team relationships with onsite 3PL. Must perform systematic SAP Mach1 (or other materials system) research based on historical inventory movements to determine appropriate course of action for reconciliation.\nJOB DUTIES:\nPerforms random and scheduled inventory and receipt audits as directed. Must be able to work independently while promoting cooperative team relationships in day-to-day support of the facility and 3PL. Conduct counts on physical inventory, track inventory, and identify sources of discrepancy. Communicate all adjustments and issues to Supply Chain Management group. Investigate and document Root Cause Corrective Action for discrepancies.\nPerforms the daily function of Inbound Receipts into Mach1 as well as system investigation for aged/missing ASNs.\nPerforms various reconciliation functions relating to inventory control and receipt accuracy of Caterpillar on-hand material, supplier discrepancies and shipment errors.\nWork location is at our Houston, TX EPC (Equipment Processing Center).\nWHAT YOU'LL NEED:\n2-4 years of equivalent experience\nExpert level Microsoft Excel - formulas (VLOOKUP’s, match, etc.), Pivot tables - design and manipulation, charts and graphs\nIntermediate level SAP Mach1 experience including Good Receipts, Inventory, open Inbound Deliveries, etc.\nExcellent interpersonal and oral communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization\nAbility to develop strong, trusting relationships to gain support and achieve results.\nAttention to detail and accuracy are imperative\nAbility to investigate and communicate the root causes of discrepancies\nAbility to deep dive into processes and communicate areas for continuous improvement\nA self-starter with the ability to perform in high-pressure and dynamic situations\nSelf-motivated with an extreme desire to succeed\nStrong computer skills, including Word and Excel\nWho We Are\nAt Wallenius Wilhelmsen, you'll join a global leader in shipping and logistics with more than 9,000 colleagues across 28 countries.
