Monitoring & Controls\nSupport the operation of Wallester’s Compliance function in accordance with the company’s compliance governance framework.\nConduct compliance monitoring activities and internal controls in accordance with the Compliance monitoring framework and assigned areas of responsibility.\nIdentify, assess and report compliance risks and potential deficiencies.\nDocument control findings, propose appropriate remediation measures and follow up on agreed corrective actions.\nSupport the implementation and monitoring of measures designed to mitigate identified compliance risks.\nRegulatory Compliance\nMonitor and interpret applicable laws, regulations, regulatory guidelines and relevant payment scheme requirements.\nConduct regulatory gap analyses and assess the impact of new or amended requirements on Wallester’s products, services, systems and internal processes.\nTranslate regulatory requirements into practical compliance requirements and support their implementation across the organisation.\nIdentify and assess risks arising from actual or potential non-compliance.\nRisk Assessments & Business Advisory\nConduct compliance risk assessments of new and existing products, services, business projects and third-party arrangements.\nProvide proactive compliance advice and support to business functions during the development or modification of products, services and processes.\nParticipate in cross-functional projects and ensure relevant compliance considerations are identified and addressed.\nPolicies & Procedures\nDevelop, review and maintain compliance-related policies, procedures, methodologies and other internal documentation.\nSupport the timely implementation of regulatory changes within Wallester’s internal regulatory framework.\nReview business processes and internal documentation from a compliance perspective and provide recommendations where necessary.\nRegulatory Reporting & Communication\nSupport the Head of Compliance and other relevant stakeholders in responding to requests from supervisory authorities, auditors and other relevant external parties.\nAssist with the preparation of regulatory responses, reports, notifications and supporting documentation.\nCollect, analyse and structure information required for compliance reporting and regulatory engagements.\nClearly communicate compliance findings, risks and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.\nTraining & Awareness\nDevelop and maintain compliance training and awareness materials.\nSupport or deliver internal training on relevant regulatory and compliance topics.\nEnsure relevant stakeholders are informed about material regulatory developments, new compliance obligations and applicable best practices.\nCross-functional Collaboration\nEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with Legal, Risk Management, AML, Information Security, Product, Operations and other relevant functions.\nContribute compliance expertise to company-wide initiatives and projects.\nPerform other compliance-related responsibilities assigned by the direct manager.\nRequirements\nExperience & knowledge\nAt least 2 years of previous professional experience in regulatory compliance, financial services, FinTech, banking, payments, legal, risk management or another relevant regulated environment.\nGood understanding of regulatory compliance principles and internal control frameworks.\nExperience in interpreting regulatory requirements and translating them into practical business requirements.\nExperience with compliance monitoring, internal controls, gap analyses, risk assessments, policy/procedure development or regulatory reporting is a strong advantage.\nKnowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to payment institutions, electronic money institutions or other financial institutions is an advantage.\nFamiliarity with areas such as payment services regulation, DORA/ICT third-party risk, consumer protection, data protection, outsourcing/third-party management or payment scheme requirementsis an advantage.\nSkills\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex regulatory requirements and assess their practical impact.\nAbility to draft clear, structured and high-quality policies, procedures, assessments and regulatory responses.\nStrong attention to detail while maintaining an understanding of the broader business and regulatory context.\nAbility to independently manage assigned responsibilities, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.\nConfidence in communicating compliance risks and requirements to stakeholders across different functions and levels of seniority.\nProactive mindset and willingness to take ownership of compliance matters from identification through to resolution.\nAbility to work effectively in a dynamic environment where regulatory and business priorities may change.\nLanguages & education\nExcellent written and spoken English.\nEstonianis a strong advantage, particularly for working with local legislation and supervisory requirements.\nHigher education in law, finance, economics, business administration, risk
