The role ensures that each partner maintains an effective AML/CFT and sanctions framework, possesses adequate operational capacity, and can be relied upon for customer due diligence measures in accordance with regulatory requirements.\nPartner Due Diligence & Reliance Assessment\nConduct initial and ongoing due diligence (CDD, EDD, OEDD) on partners operating under the reliance model.\nAssess the adequacy and effectiveness of partners’ AML/CFT, sanctions, governance and reporting frameworks.\nEvaluate partners’ operational capacity, internal controls, staffing model and risk management arrangements.\nReview partners’ policies, procedures and control evidence to ensure they meet regulatory and reliance requirements.\nPerform periodic reviews of high-risk partners and document risk assessments in line with internal methodology.\nIdentify deficiencies, request remediation plans, and monitor implementation of corrective actions.\nRisk Assessment & Monitoring (Operational)\nAssess, in the context of Wallester’s risk appetite, the AML/CFT and sanctions risks associated with partners, products, and business models.\nEvaluate risks arising from new partner onboarding or material changes to existing partnerships.\nConduct continuous monitoring of high-risk partner relationships.\nEscalate material concerns, suspicious activity indicators, or control failures to the second line of defence in accordance with internal escalation procedures.\nInformation Gathering & Stakeholder Engagement\nEngage directly with partners via remote channels to obtain documentation, clarifications and updates relating to AML controls and customer due diligence processes.\nMaintain regular contact with internal relationship managers and business stakeholders to ensure an accurate understanding of partner activity and risk exposure.\nCollaborate closely with AML Investigations, Financial Crime Risk & Intelligence, and Compliance teams to address identified risks.\nDocumentation & Control Evidence\nMaintain accurate, complete and audit-ready documentation of all partner due diligence activities and risk assessments.\nEnsure decision-making rationale is clearly recorded and explainable.\nContribute to internal reporting by providing accurate data and analysis relating to partner risk exposure.\nContinuous Improvement\nContribute to enhancing partner due diligence methodologies and risk assessment tools.\nParticipate in training and stay up to date on AML/CFT, sanctions, and reliance-model best practices.\nSupport the refinement of internal procedures to strengthen first-line risk ownership.\nRequirements\nA higher education degree in Economics, Business Management, Finance, Law, or a related field is preferred.\nProfessional certifications by ACAMS or ICA are advantageous.\nStrong knowledge of AML/CFT and sanctions regulations within a fintech or payments environment.\nExperience assessing third-party or partner AML frameworks.\nUnderstanding of reliance models under EU/UK AML regulatory regimes.\nAbility to critically analyse complex documentation and control structures.\nStrong risk assessment and documentation skills.\nAbility to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills in English and working proficiency in Estonian.\nWe
