Director, Business Strategy, HVAC-R

Position Summary...

What you'll do...

• Develop the organizational vision and strategic execution plan for the HVAC-R business, including industry and market analysis, performance metrics, decision-making frameworks, and communication of progress to senior leadership, key stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Oversee change initiatives end-to-end - identifying and defining desired change, validating value and priority, assessing organizational readiness, managing expectations, and driving adoption from pilot through full execution.
• Oversee process improvement and cross-functional business programs, directing evaluation and execution of multiple HVAC-R and facilities initiatives, benchmarking industry/competitor programs, and identifying barriers to performance across the division.
• Lead the development, prioritization, and execution of key business strategies and communications, including cross-functional initiatives impacting store and corporate processes, associate training content, and customer/company communications.
• Provide overall strategic direction by analyzing business objectives, costs, and forecasts; developing and building support for business plans; determining resource requirements; and identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities.
• Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain a highly skilled, engaged workforce - diagnosing capability gaps, recruiting and developing talent, and supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience developing organizational vision and strategic execution plans through industry and market analysis.
• Experience leading organizational change management, from pilot through full-scale adoption, in a matrixed or cross-functional environment.
• Track record overseeing process improvement and multi-project execution, with the ability to translate operational/technical realities into business strategy.
• Experience communicating data-driven recommendations and business plans to senior leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to build talent strategy: recruiting, mentoring, workforce development, and succession planning.
• Genuine familiarity with HVAC-R, energy management, or facilities industry dynamics is strongly preferred - candidates without this should be able to speak credibly to a fast on-ramp.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 6 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.
